I really liked this book! I also like Kate DiCamillo's other books, and I like Louisiana's personality. I think you should totally read this book!
Louisiana's Way Home
By Kate DiCamillo
When Louisiana Elefante’s granny wakes her up in the middle of the night to tell her that the day of reckoning has arrived and they have to leave home immediately, Louisiana isn’t overly worried. After all, Granny has many middle-of-the-night ideas. But this time, things are different. This time, Granny intends for them never to return. Separated from her best friends, Raymie and Beverly, Louisiana struggles to oppose the winds of fate (and Granny) and find a way home. But as Louisiana’s life becomes entwined with the lives of the people of a small Georgia town — including a surly motel owner, a walrus-like minister, and a mysterious boy with a crow on his shoulder — she starts to worry that she is destined only for good-byes. (Which could be due to the curse on Louisiana's and Granny’s heads. But that is a story for another time.)
Called “one of DiCamillo’s most singular and arresting creations” by The New York Times Book Review, the heartbreakingly irresistible Louisiana Elefante was introduced to readers in Raymie Nightingale — and now, with humor and tenderness, Kate DiCamillo returns to tell her story.

Totally agree!
This was a good book. Louisiana's granny gets her up in the middle of the night and says they have to leave. Louisiana thinks she will be coming home again, but she is not prepared when Granny drives her over the state line. She thinks it is horrible, and when her granny leaves her a note telling her her whole life was built on lies and leaves Louisiana alone in the world, she doesn't have a clue what to do. Then she finds a family, and she decides to stay. It was a pretty good ending, I do wish she had gone back to Raymie and Beverly though!!
i love it and my bestest friend left the school without saying goodbye to me or my best friend but i had gave her a friendship braclet that we promised we will never forget she was just like Lousisana

Ah! I love this book it is so good! Louisana is woken up in the middle of the night by her Granny which isn't unusual but the one thing that is.......is that Granny isn't turning around. By daylight usually Granny is heading straight back to Florida, but instead she's heading straight to Georgia for "the day of reckoning has arrived."How will Louisana manage without her friends Raymie and Beverly? And how will she get back home? And on the way home what will she learn about her parents, The Flying Elephantes? Discover lots about Lousiana's past and present in this amazing companion novel to Raymie Nightingale!

This book looks interesting, and I should read it
Louisiana climbs into a car like a heap of depression. Tears falling from her eyes. Her Granny is taking her somewhere where she finds hard secrets, and new friendships. Although she misses her friends Raymie Clarke and Beverly dearly, she must find a way where she can go without them. Another great read my Kate, and you must take the task to read this incredible book, ending with an ending that may effect people differently. Read to find out.
SPOILER ALERT!!! Louisiana`s way Home is about a girl named Louisiana who lives with her Granny in Lister, Florida. She was woken up in the middle of the night by Granny who says the "Day of Reckoning" has arrived. Louisiana willingly gets in the car not knowing that there will be no turning back. Louisiana believes that there`s a curse over her head, a curse of sundering thanks to Granny`s father who was a magician and cut his wife in half and refused to put her back together again. Granny crosses over the state line into Georgia and later gets a very, very bad toothache. She starts moaning and says she needs a dentist. Louisiana had no other choice but to hop up to the drivers seat to find a dentist. She enters a little town called Richford, Georgia and sees the towns` dentist, Dr.Fox. Granny is now toothless. Louisiana makes up a fake name and fake address for the dentist bill to be sent to. Granny and Louisiana than get a room at the Good Night, Sleep Tight motel owned by the not very nice, Bernice. Louisiana meets Burke Allen (one of many) who lives in a pink house in the woods with grandfather Burke Allen, father Burke Allen and Betty Allen , his mother who`s famous for her cakes. Granny leaves Louisiana to care for herself with nothing but a letter telling her that she found Louisiana by a five and dime and that her parents were not famous trapeze artists but people who left her on a pile of cardboard boxes. What will Louisiana do now? Read the book to find out!!
