The Silmarillion is an amazing book which gives you a lot of information into the history of Middle Earth. If you are a fan of The Lord of the Rings and want more information on the creation of the rings and Middle Earth, or the origin of many of the other places and people of The Lord of the Rings than I highly recommend reading this book.

An incredible book which gives insight into the events of the Lord of the Rings. Very dense, but you won't regret reading it. I recommend reading it twice to get a better grasp of things.

A brilliant but dense book. Read only if you think you can handle the challenge

the back story of the beginning of Middle earth. it's a little confusing at first.
