A girl goes on a road trip wit her grandparents, and tells them a story along the way. What I thought of it: Well, the writing wasn't the best, but it wasn't too bad. I really like some parts, but there were also some parts I didn't like. Overall, it wasn't a pretty good book, though.

This was a great book about a girl's family tragedy.It was very funny and is a Newberry Award winning book.
This book is really good, and I LOVED IT!!!!! It's quite different, but in a good way👍
I loved this book so so so so so so so so much!!!!!!! It is a great realistic fiction story. It is about a girl named Sal who lives at a farm and her mom goes away. Then she moves and makes friends with a girl named Phoebe and then she goes on a car trip with her grandparents to find her mom. I think the message in this story is ''Never judge someone before you know them''. In this story my favorite character is Sal because she never judged anyone. In the story my favorite part was when Sal finally found out that even if her mom didn't live with her, she'd always remember her. If I could ask the author two things about this book it would be ''How did you come up with an idea for this story and ''How long did it take you to write?'' I hope you like it!!!!!!
It is one of the best books written! Sharon Creech uses quirky characters and situations to give a dramatic plot line levity.
What would you do if you moved half way across the country and find a strange girl next door?
My friend read this and said she really enjoyed it.
