Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I like the book WANDER because it is a great thing to think about some people have medical needs like August. Also the book is about August's family members and friends who don't have medical needs like August.

Wonder is a very good, heart-warming book. It's mostly about a 10 year-old named August Pullman who has a facial deformity. As the next year came around it was the start of fifth grade. It was also the start of Auggie going to real school. As the year goes on, he makes friends, does well in school, and learns who not to trust. He encounters bullies, unkind friends, and troubles with his sister. This is a great book and if you take my advice and read it... I hope you enjoy!

This is the best book EVER!!! It's about a 10 year-old boy named August (Auggie) who has a facial deformity that seperates him from looking like most kids and adults. He has a sister (Via) a mom, a dad, and a dog named daisy. He's starting school for the first time because he's had 27 surgeries and therefore had to be homeschooled. When he first starts, everyone is looking at him, and whispering behind his back. He eventually meets this nice boy named Jack Will. Auggie and Jack become best friends, making jokes and laughing together. There are lots of mean kids in this book, but Auggie doesn't let that stop him. The book changes through lots of perspectives, and it sometimes gets very surprising and even heartbreaking. It's the best book ever!!!!! I reccomend this book to anyone who exists.
