the title a bit misleading it's not that scary but is extremely sad and made me dislike Beatrix Potter kinda. the books about two young fox kits, Mias who's siblings die of rabies and Uly whose father tries killing him on multiple occasions. Uly has a limp from a congenital anomaly or a birth defect on him from paw. as Uly and Mia get older they get a den together and start telling their story to young fox kits that dare visiting their den

I really enjoyed this book! I think it had plenty of loveable characters (uly was my personal favorite) and it had some well done plot twists as well. It’s basically a collection of “scary” stories that all tie together. I personally think it’s underrated, and totally recommend it!
Every fall, fox kits love to hear scary stories. Their moms warn them not to go to the old storyteller's den, but of course, they don't obey. They will hear stories so scary that they will never leave their den again. The storyteller tells of Mia, a girl kit whose littermates are killed by rabies, and Uly, a boy kit who has a crippled paw. The foxes set off on a journey full of dangers, including alligators, an old woman who kills foxes, and Uly's dad himself. How many foxes will remain at the end? This was a great book, though it wasn't very scary. I recommend this book to animal lovers.
This book is OK. I don't think the stories are written very well and IT'S NOT SCARY AT ALL!!! I've read normal books way scarier than this! 3 stars for this book.
its more sad then scary
