This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

Do you like mystery, magic, and a little bit of horror? If so, direct your attention tho the Harry Potter series! The Sorcerer's Stone is called The Philosopher's Stone in England. This is a great book, getting starting fans hooked, and already fans renewed! I have read the entire series many times. In this book, Harry was a normal wizard boy, with wonderful parents and a nice house. Before he could walk and talk, his parents were murdered by the most dark wizard of all time: Lord Voldemort. He is sent to live with his muggle relatives where he was treated as a slave until he was 11. Mysterious letters arrive for him from a Wizarding school. It takes a long time before Harry even gets to open this letter. When he does, he learns he has been excepted into Hogwarts, the Wizarding school. How will it turn out for Harry? Read the book to find out!

There once was a boy name harry destined to a star. His parents were killed by voldemort and gave him a lightning scar.

It's actually called the philosopher's stone, but I think they changed it.

The movies are great but the books are bettter you get to imagine it by yourself and you get to add things to your imagination thats why this book is long so you get to experince the entire thing so if someone says it is to long then let them read some of it so they can have a little inmagination into their mind.

I watched the movie first but also read the book I think the book was a bit better then the movie but they were both really good

I watched the movie to this first, and I thought that was great! It was a little better than the book but overall I thought it was really cool.
