They could be running away from something, or because of the climate change, they could come here because of the heat, but this doesn't make sense, because the only way some of these creatures could have survived this long (since prehistoric times) is if they hid in a very, very, very, very deep trench in the oceans, and the water down there is mostly extremely cold.
