I just finished reading this book. It is a very good book! Amber House is a little mature though.

I totally agree! It is a very good book to introduce to kids that some people are different. It also teaches the importance of kindness, and accepting the differences of others!

Unicorn 992, I just wanted to say that August does no have one eye. I thought that to, but then I read the book. It is just the way the author draws it.

I love the book, it a really good book. It teach's kids not to look on the outside of people but the inside. I personally like the boy called Jack in the book he stood up for August the boy that has facial problems. There is a girl called Summer she is really nice and sits with August everyday. They came up with and idea that they should call it the Summer table. August has a sister called Olivia or Via and a mum and dad. I personally think everyone should read this book.
