This movie is unforgettable. It takes a step outside the glade and maze and gives audiences a look first-hand into the world outside. There are a lot of action scenes and many chances for characters to redeem themselves. The overall feel of the movie is very nostalgic, paying great homage to the first two by keeping the characters' same youth and spontaneity. There is also a new dimension of maturity and bravery seen in the characters. Their selfless and courageous acts allow movie-goers to settle after realizing their series has been brought to an end. Although most will be sad when noticing the wall has additional, familiar names carved into it, I was happy and satisfied to know that the last installment had no questions left unanswered. I definitely recommend this movie to any fan of the Maze Runner series. It will not disappoint.Over 6 years agopickletiger1 added a movie review.

Every February 14, people worldwide demonstrate their affection for family members, friends, teachers, and significant others with a gift or two. However, this display of love d...Almost 8 years agopickletiger1's movie review was featured in Dark Skies.
The Barrett couple and their two sons, Jesse and Sam have lived a peaceful life in a safe, suburban setting. The family have average problems, such as their distaste for their son's older friend, but nothing too severe. Suddenly, strange occurrences begin happening around their home, and they first blame their son, before realizing some paranormal forces may be at play. They later discover that these forces ARE interfering with their lives. Secrets are uncovered about similar doings, blamed mostly on the spooky ghoul, Sandman, or a species of aliens labelled The Greys. The family has to fight to save their family and whether or not they succeed is open to interpretation. I love the style of this film. Although there are many scenes with traditional dark lighting, many of the scary scenes are in plain daylight, adding to the ominous tone and bringing forth a feeling of overpowering evil. This movie will have you on the edge of your seat the entire time. Just please, don't watch it at night. It's genuinely scary and I've made that awful mistake.Almost 8 years agopickletiger1 added a movie review.

This was my absolute favourite book. So, going into the movie, it was expected to be your average "the book was still better than the movie" scenario. But I'm sure I'm not alone when I say that this was not the case. Although it does represent the main plot of the novel, the film had a completely different feel. Hazel Grace and Gus seemed far more distant from each other. Don't get me wrong, the movie was a pretty good one, but it could not aspire to its obviously superior precursor. I love the actors and they did a very good job, but they portrayed the characters in a more progressive, moving forward sense, when in the book, they seemed to be stuck in a nostalgic loop about life. This was more appealing to the young teenage audience it was projected toward. It is a good movie, but I will always stand by the book when referencing or conversing.Almost 8 years agopickletiger1 added a movie review.
