“Tuesday, November 2, 1920, was a day of triumph. For The first time in history, women across the united States were allowed to vote.” In the book, The Day The Women Got The Vote, the author illustrates the women’s struggle for equal rights in history by showing a significant amount of photos. With these photo, we get to understand the history of female heroes in the history who fought for liberty and helped alleviating the inequality against women. I found this book extremely inspiring and encouraging, because if it wasn’t for them, we wouldn’t have the liberty and rights we have today as a girl and a woman. Without them, the inequality problem could have been worse. Without them, we are not able to enjoy all aspect of life like the way we do today. I believe that if the whole society could work together to end the gender inequality and spread the idea of feminism, we can achieve the goal of creating the world where everybody can be what they want to be and do what they want to do. What I learned from this book is that the women’s rights movement is not about the individuals, it is about everyone, and it is important for us to step up and speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and get the rights we deserve as human. I highly recommend this book to those who believe in feminism and who are interested in the history of the women’s rights movement.Over 8 years agovickyh added a book review.

This is the sequel to the last book I read, Uninvited, I was excited about reading this one, and I totally love it. Uninvited is more about action and adventure, while Unleashed allows the readers getting to know more about the emotional aspects of the characters and the romantic relationship between Davy and Caden. He is a real gentleman who found her after she got shot, and helped her getting better and taught her how to trust again. I love how Davy’s character developed in this sequel, she become tougher and more mature. She is an amazing heroine and as a reader I feel as though I have been through a journey of self-discovery and survival with Davy. This book is full of pleasant surprises and tension that will keep you up all night. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in adventure, fantasy and romance.Over 8 years agovickyh added a book review.

My friend recommended this book to me, and after reading it, I found it extremely thought-provoking, it makes me questioned about life, about trust, about friend, and everything else that I believed in. Davy has a perfect life, until she was tested positive for HTS, which is also known as the kill gene, she is labeled as a murder, who everyone is afraid of. I think it is really unfair for Davy, just because she has the kill gene, doesn’t mean she is going to g hurt anyone or even commit murder., Davy keeps believing that she is not the kind of person, I really appreciate how Davy does not letting her gene defines who she is. is, she fights till the end, I admire her courage and bravery. She believed in herself that she will be able to undefined the identity of being a carriers. I really like a quotes inside the book, “Never forget that we are more than the genetic side. We can be more than labels applied to is. We can be more than what others whisper behind our backs. Free will exists. We need to choose to be the best we can be and we need to help others to do the same. Believe in yourself. ” This quotes is relatable, you shouldn’t let anything define who you are, since you’re the one who know you the best, and you shouldn’t let others choose your future.Over 8 years agovickyh added a book review.

Reading through Samantha's last day over and over again, it's heartbreaking how Samantha was struggling through the last day of her life. I really love how the author shaped the character, Samantha has everything any high school girl wanted, she looks beautiful, she's popular, she has a perfect boyfriend that everyone admired. However, on a Friday, February 12th, the last day of her life. Samantha is my favorite character, throughout the story, she had relived for seven times, she started to realize what she had done wrong, and she was given the chance to right the wrong and to improve herself and be a better person, thinking not only herself also the people around her. The author put a lot of thought into this novel, while reader were reading, they can easily relate the story, and follow the character's emotion, laugh when Samantha is laughing, cry and Samantha is crying. I highly recommended this book to teenage girls or boys, people who studying in high school, and who love romance.Almost 9 years ago
