On October 8th, 2010, Brooklyn based, Atomic Tom woke up the sleepy riders of New York City's Subway B, by belting out their latest single - Take Me Out'. While the performance itself was not unusual, what stunned the audience was their choice of musical instruments that comprised of . . . . . . . three iPhones!
The music played through the phones, programmed to emulate the sound of drums, guitars and bass respectively, was almost as good, if not better, than the real instruments. Ironically, the three-year old group received much more positive publicity from this performance than ever before, and even, a potential partnership with the makers of the iPhone - Apple Inc! Maybe they should ditch their real instruments and become the world's first iPhone only band!
