Unless you have been living with your head buried under the sand for the last few weeks, you will have heard about the Korean pop sensation Park Jae-sang or Psy, who has rocked the world with the catchy tune and wacky dance moves of his super hit song 'Gangnam Style'!

Since it's release on YouTube on July 15th, the video has been viewed over 256 million times, a number that is rapidly rising given that it currently attracts a record-breaking 10 million views a day.

What is amazing about the whole phenomenon is that Psy is not a cool-looking teenager like Justin Bieber but a chubby 34-year old. Not only that, except for a few words, the entire song is sung in Korean, which means very few people really understand the lyrics or can even hum to them - Yet, it has become an overnight sensation not just in the USA, but all around the globe ranging from Australia to Denmark, from UK to the Netherlands! In fact the song is such an epic hit that it is being compared to the all-time record-breaker - Thriller by Michael Jackson

So who is this sensation that has been signed up by none other than Scooter Braun, Justin Bieber & Carly Rae Jepsen's manager? Turns out that while he was born in South Korea he has spent many years in the USA - First as an undergraduate at Boston University and then the Berklee School of Music. Prior to his latest super hit, he has released five albums with mixed success. The big question he now faces is whether he is going to go down in the history books as a one-hit wonder or, be able to repeat this success with other, even more popular songs. But that is for the experts to ponder over - For the rest of us, it's time to 'Gangnam Style'.

Since you all have probably already watched the original video a zillion times here are a couple of parodies performed by some wannabe K-pop stars - Students from New York's Cornell University and some ex-Presidents (sort of)! Enjoy!
